Here is where the real heart of my website lies; the Fanfic Flash.  Be aware that these chapters contain major spoilers for Kana: Little Sister.  If you have not yet completely played through the game, you should do so before viewing these.  While you may find some entertainment watching these videos without having played the game, not everything will make sense, and you will have effectively ruined the experience of playing Kana.

A few notes before you view the chapters:

  • Watching these videos requires the Flash plug-in from Adobe.com.  You can check your browser's current version of Adobe Flash Player here, and you can download the latest plug-in (version 10.2.153.1) here.

  • These videos were originally created using Macromedia Flash MX 2004 and later finalized using Macromedia Flash 8.  Just update your plug-in to the latest version to avoid any problems.

  • Some of these notes will be repeated during the chapters.  They were made along the way while I created each chapter.  So don't be surprised if you find me repeating myself a few times.

  • The average size of each Flash video is around 3 MB.  Those of you who are using a dial-up connection may take a long time to view each chapter.  I tried to reduce the file size as much as I could.  Some things just can't be helped though.

  • These Flash videos are meant to simulate Kana: Little Sister's gameplay.  However, they are still only videos.  It won't be exactly the same.  There are no decisions to be made or different story branches to follow.  It is strictly Darkling's fanfic told in a linear fashion.

  • Each chapter was created using the music from the game and images of the different locations.  You will find that many of the locations from the game are being used as different ones for this story.  Darkling and I were limited to what was available, so not everything will be perfect.  A few pictures are actually from Kana... Okaeri! as well.  Just use your imagination.

  • There is a particular lack of actual shots of Kana in these movies.  I wish I could have included more, but there weren't enough fitting images.  Especially for the later chapters.  Again, you'll just have to use your imagination.

Please watch the credits at the end of chapter 10.  A lot of hard work went into this project.  Those that were involved deserve it.
There might even be a small surprise for those who watch them... =)
